Why I Chose Tom Over Jay Gatsby

When Gatsby came back into my life, it turned to chaos.  Tom and he started fighting for me.  I ran over a woman.  Before Jay, my life was simpler.  Although I may not love Tom as much as I should, he is my husband.  He has supported me for the many years we have been together. 

I married Tom because Jay was poor, and I couldn’t wait for him anymore during the war.  We were happy in the beginning.  I was in love.  I’ve always had Gatsby on my mind.  I cannot let him get on my mind anymore.  It is better this way.  My life will be better if I stay with Tom.  We have a daughter together, a beautiful daughter whom loves us both and whom we love.  We have had a life together for eight years.  I cannot leave that life behind.  This is the life I chose, and I will continue to be with my husband.

It is probably better this way.  I will probably be happy.  I am traveling around Europe with my family then moving into a beautiful new house.  How could life get any better?  I am going to be optimistic about the rest of my life.
